Colorado State University College of Health and Human Sciences graduates are celebrated at the Ceremonial Walk Across the Oval

We are so proud of the many accomplishments of our 2020 Ram graduates.

In May, we released multiple virtual celebration videos and opportunities for the Spring and Summer graduates. Please enjoy these videos at your leisure.

We will also be offering various virtual opportunities to be released on December 18. This will include formal college videos that will highlight ALL 2020 graduates. All 2020 graduates will be provided the opportunity to create their own personalized slide that will be included in the videos. Our partners at GradImages will be sending out an email the first week in November to prompt students to complete their slide.

Ceremonial Walk Across the Oval, Nov. 16-20

Walk Schedule & Live Streaming

Assuming CSU and Larimer County Public Health Conditions continues to allow, all 2020 graduates are provided the opportunity to participate in a Ceremonial Walk Across the Oval with fellow graduates. For those graduating with a Ph.D., the ceremonial walk will not include a hooding ceremony in order to maintain physical distancing guidelines.

Parking: Limited complimentary parking will be available for 2020 graduates in the Moby Lot, 195 Monday-Friday during your ceremony.

Guests will not be permitted, due to current gathering restrictions. Should guests attempt to partake in the ceremony, it could jeopardize the ceremony from occurring. While guests will not be permitted, the ceremonial walk will be recorded so the experience can be shared virtually with family and friends.

Live Stream & Recorded Video: The ceremonial walk will be live streamed and recorded so the experience can be shared virtually with family and friends. Links to the live stream can be found here.

Photography: GradImages Photographers will be on site to take formal pictures and as students receive a diploma cover.

Dress Code: Face coverings (which must follow county guidance and cover your nose and mouth) are required for all attendees, and must be worn both indoor and outdoor on CSU’s campus. Regalia is encouraged, but not required at this celebration. As part of the CSU ceremonial dress code, students are asked to wear proper attire including shoes, shirts and bottoms at all times. Attire that is not appropriate for the event includes (but is not limited to): Costumes and masks that conceal your identity, clothing with obscene language or graphics, clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment. Clothing with multiple layers will be subject to search. This is an important and momentous day for thousands of students. In the Rams spirit, we also ask students to use discretion and good judgment so that all participants can have a meaningful experience.

Daily Symptom Checker: All students and employees are expected and required to report any COVID-19 symptoms to the university immediately, as well as report exposures or positive tests from a non-CSU testing location. Daily Symptom Checker.

Future Ceremonies: If students are unable to make it to campus during this week, they are invited to walk in any future CSU commencement ceremony with their college. When future schedules are released, contact the college commencement coordinator to finalize the details.

You are invited to craft a page in the yearbook dedicated to your legacy at CSU, and hope your page will highlight what makes you unique, and what ties you to the broader Ram community.
