Spring Commencement - Colorado State University

Hey graduates!

We’re less than a week away from the start of commencement activities, so please take a moment to make sure you’re ready to celebrate your accomplishment with all your biggest fans!

You’ll want to review this webpage for the most important reminders for commencement so you and your guests can plan the best experiences for your graduation weekend!

A few important reminders:

  • REGALIA: Final regalia pick up, purchases, or exchanges will take place during Senior Send-Off on May 15-16. Plus, enjoy cap decorating, photo ops, a special toast and more – don’t miss it.
  • SECURITY: The clear-bag policy applies to all guests and graduates for ceremonies at Canvas Stadium and Moby Arena. Review the security FAQs.
  • TRAFFIC: Expect heavy traffic on and around campus, particularly on Friday, May 16 – please plan ahead to give yourself and your guests extra time.
  • UNIVERSITY-WIDE TICKETS: Make sure to send your supporters a screenshot or printout of their tickets for University-wide Commencement. Each ticket is unique, and everyone must have a ticket. Troubleshoot accessing your tickets. Please download your tickets prior to Friday morning and contact the ticket office at 970-491-RAMS, if you have any questions.
  • RECOGNITION CEREMONY TICKETS: Most recognition ceremonies are NOT ticketed; only four recognition ceremonies require tickets, and those students have been notified (ceremonies with an * are ticketed). You will receive all information about your recognition ceremony via email from your college.
  • PARKING: Parking will be different than normal, please read this section fully!
    • Friday, May 16: Every vehicle MUST have a commencement parking pass.
      • There will be no paid parking options and regular parking passes will not be valid on Friday, May 16.
      • Download your parking pass for May 16 and find the lot on your parking pass now.  Troubleshoot any parking issues here.
      • Parking passes are assigned to specific parking lots. This interactive campus map shows road closures for Friday, May 16, and parking lot numbers (please find your assigned parking lot on your parking pass now).
      • Parking passes are limited to one per graduate. You and your guests must carpool and/or use other modes of transportation.
    • Thursday, May 15, Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18
      • Parking will be free on campus after noon on May 15, and all-day May 17-18.
      • Parking will be first-come, first-served. Carpooling and other transportation options are encouraged.

In addition to all the details, at its core, commencement is a celebration of the culmination of all your hard work, so don’t forget to make fun plans in Fort Collins with your supporters.

Congratulations!
