
Planning to participate in Spring 2025 Commencement? Read on.
Top 5 things you need to know:
- COMMENCEMENT RSVP DEADLINE! Students must RSVP by April 1 to request guest tickets for University-wide Commencement and share their guest count for their respective recognition ceremony.
- If you have already RSVP’d and would like to update your form for either the University-wide ceremony or your recognition ceremony, please refresh the RSVP form page and resubmit your information.

HOW DO UNIVERSITY-WIDE TICKETS WORK?
- RSVP by next Tuesday, April 1, for tickets to the University-wide Commencement.
- University-wide Commencement tickets will drop to student accounts by April 10 (check csurams.com/myaccount).
- You will receive an email to your CSU email with a link to claim your initial tickets.
- On May 1 any additional tickets will be distributed to those who have requested them.
HOW DO RECOGNITION CEREMONY TICKETS WORK?
- To avoid the need to require tickets for recognition ceremonies, students are asked to determine guest counts respectfully, given the locations were determined with six (6) guests in mind.
- The need to ticket recognition ceremonies will be determined after April 1. Please check the recognition ceremonies schedule after April 10 to see if your ceremony will be ticketed. An email will be sent to graduates whose recognition ceremonies have moved to being ticketed.
- COMMENCEMENT SPEAKER ANNOUNCED. This year’s University-wide Commencement speaker is CSU alum and journalist Eugene Daniels.
CAP + GOWN PICK UP. Grad Pack/regalia pick up takes place during the Alumni Association Grad Fest and Senior Send Off. If you did not pre-order regalia, you can purchase items in person at the Grad Fest and Senior Send Off
- SEND YOUR GUESTS DETAILS. (PLEASE!) There is a special section on our website for guests – please send it their way.
As a reminder: Students and guests should plan to attend two events as part of 2025 commencement.
- University-wide Commencement is 4:30-6 p.m. on Friday, May 16, at Canvas Stadium with the entire graduating class.
- Recognition ceremonies are grouped by academic unit and held Thursday, May 15, to Sunday, May 18. At these events, bachelor’s and master’s students will have their names read, cross a stage and receive a diploma cover.
- Doctoral students attend the hooding ceremony and do not attend a recognition ceremony.
- HOW DO I GET MY DIPLOMA?
- Diplomas are NOT distributed at commencement events. Diploma covers are provided at recognition ceremonies, and all diplomas are mailed after your academic degree is completed.
- Graduating with a bachelor’s degree? Manage degree completion and intent to graduate through RamWeb and the Office of the Registrar.
- Graduating with a master’s or doctoral degree? Work with the Graduate School to answer any questions.
