Welcome to Spring semester, Rams! CSU is pleased to announce details on the inaugural University-wide Commencement, which will take place this May and offer a shared experience for our university community to come together and celebrate the milestone of graduation.
If you are a graduating student, you will receive additional email communication from CSU leading up to commencement and helping you to navigate deadlines and next steps. All details are available on the commencement website. CSU is here to help with your questions at commencement@colostate.edu or 970-491-GRAD (4723).

There are two events as part of commencement for each graduate and their guests: the University-wide Commencement and a recognition ceremony.
- University-wide Commencement will take place from 4:30-6 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Canvas Stadium. All student graduates and their guests are invited to University-wide Commencement. Graduates are guaranteed six (6) guest tickets and may request additional tickets; view information on ticketing.
- Smaller recognition ceremonies for undergraduate and master’s students are grouped by academic units and will take place Thursday, May 15 through Sunday, May 18, 2025. Space is not limited at recognition ceremonies.
- During these events, graduates will be recognized by name, cross the stage, and receive their diploma covers.
All doctoral students will have their own recognition ceremony.
- Students can find information about their respective smaller recognition ceremony here.
- Most students choose to participate in commencement following the completion of their degree requirements. However, students may select the commencement before or after their degree credit completion based on preference or schedule.
